Our behaviors impact how we address conflict and how (if) we influence others
Our next two behaviors that are evaluated in our COMPASS 360′ model are Conflict and Influence.
Life and growth include differing opinions, conflicting mindsets, and even opposing objectives. Those most influential in our lives (work and home), play a role and impact our behaviors.
The key CONFLICT behaviors include:
- Shows empathy and listens to others during conflict
- Challenges the group to address issues when there are strong disagreements
- He or she promotes opportunities for improvement when there is conflict
With the balancing skills of:
- Demonstrates Empathy
- Facilitates Resolution
- Identifies New Opportunities
For INFLUENCE, the behaviors include:
- Influences others while being respectful, positive, and enthusiastic
- Presents his/herself with confidence
- Provides a calming influence in a heated situation
The balancing skills are:
- Rallies with Enthusiasm
- Shows Confidence
- Maintains Composure
