As we continue our 360′ feedback series, we’re sharing 2 more of the 12 critical leadership behaviors and associated balancing skills from our COMPASS 360 assessment. Today we’ll explore:
VMGM=B and COMMUNICATION
(Vision, Mission, Goals, Measures = Behaviors)
Achieving success begins with having shared Vision and Mission statements, written Goals, Measures that track the “what by when’, and the Behaviors required to support them. It’s also beneficial to include building and maintaining strong relationships for obtaining desired results.
When obtaining feedback for VMGM=B, the behaviors that will be evaluated include:
- Establishes a vision and a mission that sets the bar high
- Introduces new challenges for the team with a clear vision
- Behaves in a manner that is consistent with the vision and mission
The balancing skills for VMGM=B include:
- Creates a Shared Vision
- Identifies New Challenges
- Aligns Behaviors
For COMMUNICATION, the behaviors include:
- Is welcoming and approachable
- Is quick to give others recognition when deserved
- Effectively listens while encouraging people to share thoughts
The balancing skills for COMMUNICATION include:
- Is Approachable
- Develops Others
- Facilitates Dialog
