Note: we\u2019re all a blend of the 4 styles, no style is better than another, and our style preference may change based on the situation.<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are 4 primary\u00a0DiSC\u00a0styles; here\u2019s a high-level recap linking\u00a0DiSC\u00a0with\u00a0Change:<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ds \u2013 Dominance<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tend to make quick decisions; may not take the time to obtain all relevant information<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Is &#8211; Influence<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Are excited about change, want to talk about it, but may not excel at executing it<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ss &#8211; Steadiness<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">May seem disengaged when faced with change as they are driven by harmony and stability<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cs &#8211; Conscientiousness<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Are accurate, logical, and analytical and are wired to find flaws and mistakes\u00a0<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tips for managing change based on each style:<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For\u00a0Ds:<\/span><br \/><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Explain the intent and the desired end-result<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Give them a role and get them immediately engaged<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Remind them that others may resist the change; be sensitive of any concerns<\/span><\/li><\/ul><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u>For\u00a0Is<\/u>:<\/span><br \/><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Share\u00a0why the change is exciting and necessary<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Utilize their excitement to get them involved and\u00a0to engage their\u00a0colleagues<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Listen to their opinion and a provide a plan (including follow ups)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u>For\u00a0Ss:<\/u><\/span><br \/><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reassure them that things are under control and on track<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure that they understand directions, strategies, and their role<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Involve them as soon as possible to reduce stress and encourage colleague support<\/span><\/li><\/ul><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u>For\u00a0Cs:<\/u><\/span><br \/><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure they understand\u00a0the reasons for the change<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Provide\u00a0them with a detailed and logical plan\u00a0and listen to their thoughts\/feedback for improvements<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Assure them that their expertise will continue to be leveraged<\/span><\/li><\/ul><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Knowing the\u00a0Change Curve Model\u00a0is also helpful. There are a few different models with varying components.
