Servant leaders view their key role as serving employees as they explore and grow, providing tangible and emotional support as they do so.<br \/>\n&#8211;Dan Cable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last week we shared some traits our clients wanted to see their leaders exhibit and one of them was the ability to be humble. Humble people:<\/p>\n<p><strong>They do not belittle others<\/strong><br \/>\nQuite the opposite \u2013 leaders make others feel important<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are not rude<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders are respectful, they listen, and are mindful of the<br \/>\nneeds of others<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are truthful<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders live life with integrity and no hidden agendas<\/p>\n<p><strong>They will put themselves in someone else\u2019s shoes<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders seek to understand<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are not self-righteous<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders do not have a superiority complex<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are not judgmental<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders do not form opinions without obtaining facts<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are not arrogant<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders do not portray a sense of self-importance<\/p>\n<p><strong>They will not dwell on the past<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders do not let negative \u201cbaggage\u201d hinder their decisions<\/p>\n<p><strong>They will not get defensive<\/strong><br \/>\nLeaders are accepting of feedback and suggestions for<br \/>\nchange\/improvement<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a leader, how would you score yourself in the above categories?<\/li>\n<li>What about how you would score your leader?<\/li>\n<li>What category would you like to personally or professionally develop?
