Don\u2019t be na\u00efve!<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Albert Einstein said that insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. If you want a different result, you must change your approach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.Failing to delay gratification.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Gratification doesn\u2019t come quickly and hard work comes long before the reward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.Operating without a budget.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Budgets, both professionally and personally, establish discipline, and discipline is the foundation of quality work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.Losing sight of the big picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Assess your daily priorities against your goals; are they aligned?<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.Not doing your homework.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">There\u2019s no substitute for hard work and due diligence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.Trying to be someone you\u2019re not.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Happiness and success demand authenticity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.Trying to please everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">It\u2019s not possible to please everybody, and trying to please everyone pleases no one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.Playing the victim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">To play the victim, you have to give up your power, and you can\u2019t put a price on that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10.Trying to change someone.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The only way that people change is through the desire and wherewithal to change themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Mistakes are to be learned from and can serve as a reminder of what not to do in the future.
