Chances are you know someone that struggles with this, and perhaps maybe even<\/strong> <strong>you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be a trusted leader, colleague, and friend, we need to be authentic and take ownership of our actions and behaviors.<br \/>\nE-Coach Associates is one of our Strategic Partners and their workplace performance tool <a href=\"https:\/\/qwikcoach.com\/?utm_source=ActiveCampaign&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=Who%2C%20Me%3F&amp;utm_campaign=Who%2C%20Me%3F\"><strong>QwikCoach<\/strong><\/a> shares the following about accountability:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Focus on results and &#8220;own&#8221; them.<\/em><\/strong> Successes are to be celebrated!<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Own failures too.<\/strong> <\/em>Learn from them; what could be done so they are not repeated?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DO<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership.<\/li>\n<li>Take responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Buy in completely.<\/li>\n<li>Know\/support the organization\u2019s vision.<\/li>\n<li>Focus on excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Be persistent.<\/li>\n<li>Overcome barriers.Stay the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DON\u2019T<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let yourself off the hook.<\/li>\n<li>Own successes but not failures.<\/li>\n<li>Look to blame others.<\/li>\n<li>Make excuses.<\/li>\n<li>Over explain failure.<\/li>\n<li>Take more credit than deserved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And we\u2019d like to add:<br \/>\n<strong>DO<\/strong> be realistic about the situation and impacts and take action before the issue escalates<br \/>\n<strong>DON\u2019T<\/strong> point fingers<br \/>\n<strong>DON\u2019T<\/strong> get caught up in the &#8220;Who, Me&#8221;? mentality.<br \/>\n<strong>DO<\/strong> give thought to what Moliere (French playwright, actor, poet, writer) says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>It is not only what we do,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>but also what we do not do,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>for which we are accountable<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Accountability breeds response-ability.<br \/>\n&#8211;Stephen Covey<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accept responsibility for your actions.
