Much is required of leaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong leaders:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead through and drive change<\/li>\n<li>Reduce costs<\/li>\n<li>Improve timeliness<\/li>\n<li>Deliver with 100% quality<\/li>\n<li>Have strong relationships<\/li>\n<li>Know they can\u2019t do \u201cit\u201d alone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>10 Must Have Traits For Successful Leaders<\/h2>\n<p>Authors Dan Roberts and Brian Watson identified the following common <strong>traits found in successful leaders<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Leaders take risks and are not afraid to pitch big ideas<\/li>\n<li>Leaders have the confidence to step up and resolve issues<\/li>\n<li>Leaders value people and understand the value their people bring to their organization<\/li>\n<li>Leaders make tough decisions<\/li>\n<li>Leaders are results-oriented and measure progress<\/li>\n<li>Leaders are innovators and strategists; they anticipate the future and lead through change to move their business forward (instead of becoming obsolete)<\/li>\n<li>Leaders are transformational, have a vision, and motivate their teams<\/li>\n<li>Leaders are self-aware; they learn from past successes as well as failures<\/li>\n<li>Leaders network and leverage their professional networks to share experiences for continued learning<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And we\u2019ll add another:<\/p>\n<h3>10. Leaders\u00a0Are Authentic<\/h3>\n<p>This includes being trusted, displaying high levels of integrity, and following through on commitments.
