PeopleTek’s Team Development workshop solves key project conflicts that arise between team members to significantly increase the odds of a successful project. Teamwork does not come from a group of people who simply happen to be on the same team. It takes months and years of working together to know how to become a “well-oiled machine.” And that doesn’t always happen. Conflicts which are not addressed directly fester and reduce the overall effectiveness of the team. One of the greatest challenges that teams face is working with a common purpose the leverages the talents, strengths and personalities of team members are leveraged in the strongest possible combination.

In PeopleTek’s team development program, the entire team goes through the workshop together and work on a single project that they have chosen. Throughout the intensive workshop, team members are coached on a live business project to produce immediate benefits. As issues crop up, they’re immediately discussed and of a solution is found and implemented. This program enables team members to learn the optimal ways of communicating with each other. In short, the program takes a room full of strangers and helps them transform into a high-performance team.
PeopleTek uses the results of a preassessment survey that is given to all team members, and a customized program is built to address the specific needs of the team. By participating in this workshop together, the team members experience an increased level of insight about each other’s communication styles, information processing preferences and motivational goals that enables them to forge stronger bonds of trust with each other in a way that is ordinarily not possible.
There is a higher level of participation by both members and leaders as they work through team challenges with the PeopleTek coach. As a consequence, the quality of communication is improved significantly. The Program
The program begins with a confidential survey to assess the team’s initial performance and also to identify team strengths and gaps. Prior to the start of the Team Journey, an assessment report is prepared with specific recommendations for the team and individuals. At the first workshop meeting, the team picks an important project to focus on . The team also creates an action plan of behaviors that the team believes it needs to change in order to increase efficiency. As they work together on a common project, coaches help participants to identify styles of behavior and their effectiveness. Some past participants have called the workshop an the “project insurance policy.”
Logistics
Many experts in the field stress that lasting change does not come overnight but rather, comes over a period of time. This gives participants the time to work on the skills they have learned in the workshop and to apply them to new challenges that arise during the course of the workshop.
