Part of that secret is fully understanding and appreciating the strengths that one has relied upon for success to date as well as the competencies that haven’t yet been fully developed. The knowledge that is acquired and the competencies that are developed through The Leadership Journey are leveraged for success throughout one’s career.

Leaders become better managers by developing deep competencies in the following areas:

Communication Skills: improving communication skills with peers, direct reports and the senior management team represents a critical component of effective Leadership. To be successful, leaders must be able to inspire others. This workshop helps develop closely attuned listening skills that result in keen insights into your team that will enable you to speak to the needs and aspirations of your team in achieving a common mission.

Building Relationships: a pivotal component of leadership is forging strong relationships with your team and those who interact with your team. PeopleTek will teach you how to view networking in a more expansive and powerful way that goes beyond creating superficial relationships to lasting relationships that one can count on.

Delegate Effectively: you’re one person and can’t do the job of everyone on your team and also do a thorough job on your responsibilities. Delegating and giving up control is one of the hardest tasks for many leaders as it can introduce uncertainty and mistakes. PeopleTek will show you how to effectively delegate responsibility without losing control while increasing the efficiency of both yourself and your team. You will learn how to monitor the progress of deliverables in a way that avoids surprises and holds team members accountable for results.

The Program

PeopleTek’s Leadership Development program for individuals is called The Journey. It is called a Journey because it takes time for new skills to be developed and honed. Lasting change doesn’t happen in a day or a week. Experts frequently cite the timeframe of 3 months for change to become second nature.

The Journey is a program that has 2 main formats:

Virtual

  • 12 virtual sessions lasting 90 minutes
  • 1 one-on-one individual coaching session lasting 60 minutes
  • the workshop meets every other week to accommodate busy participant schedules
  • the program is available worldwide to meet the needs of traveling leaders

In Person

  • 12 3 hour sessions every other week
  • 15-25 participants/class, chance to interact with others from different companies, learning different perspectives and experiences
  • classes take place in major cities in the US
Continuing Education Credits

The program earns 18 priSM CPD credits and 3 PSM level points. In addition, this coaching program is approved for PMI recertification credits.
