PeopleTek’s Communication and Listening Workshop Program
In a recent survey, top CEOs of leading corporations worldwide agreed that communication is the single most important element to their success and the success of their leadership teams. Yet, how often do disagreements result from simple misunderstandings? And how often do misunderstandings lead to interpersonal conflicts and issues on teams? In school, we focus primarily on how to make a speech but little on how to listen.
The focus of this workshop is to provide illumination and understanding of the most critical aspects of interpersonal communication. The hands-on, intensive workshop provides the opportunity to put into practice the tools and insights which are learned and the opportunity to solve some of the most difficult communication and listening challenges. The goal is to equip participants to become aware of the many hidden signals and clues that may be sabotaging their current communications.

The first component of the program focuses on how to listen in a way that goes far beyond simply hearing what is said. Participants learn about the many roadblocks that may be interfering with their listening and take an in-depth look into their routine course of action to reveal habits and proclivities that they may be unaware of. From an increased ability to hear comes an increased ability to comprehend and gain insights. The net effect is an increased ability to connect with listeners and a greater ability to handle conflict and defuse it effectively.
The program then shifts to communication techniques for different types of challenges and settings. You will learn the best communication strategies in an array of different settings.
